Whenever there is a storm of negative thoughts arising in your brain, try to challenge it with more and more positive thoughts. You can use self-talk and try to give yourself realistic alternatives that will help you in solving the problem instead of simply dwelling upon it.

• Look for the solution: If there is a problem about which you are sitting and thinking for hours and hours, ask yourself this question- “Will this overthinking and over-analyzing help you solve the problem?” If the answer is “no”, then move away from the problem and move towards the solution. Try to think about what can be done to make this situation easier for you and then start taking action.
